Tigers in America Works to Rescue Captive Tigers

Today more tigers are living in America than can be found living wild throughout the rest of the world. Some of America's more than 7,000 tigers live in the protected safety of a proper sanctuary. Most, however, do not. They live in terrible conditions and are often abused or abandoned.

Bred only for amusement, some are killed and sold for parts. Help Tigers in America rescue and build homes for these unwanted tigers. At TIA, we rescue captive tigers, getting them out of little cages and into naturalistic surroundings, finding homes for big cats in facilities that we know and trust. We make yearly visits to ensure that they are well cared for and also arrange and pay for transportation or build extra enclosures. It is our stated mission that no tiger will die in this country because he or she can't see a veterinarian or doesn't have a good home.
